The short version
I am a one-person computer repair shop. I collect the minimum needed to do the work and get back to you, I do not sell anything to anyone, and I do not go looking through the files on a machine left with me.

What the contact form collects
The form on the contact page asks for your name, email address, phone number, which service you need, rough timing, and a message. Only the name, email and message are required.
Submissions are delivered to me by email through a form service called Web3Forms, which passes the message on and does not use it for anything else. From there it sits in my email inbox like any other enquiry.
I use it to answer you and to do the work. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not pass it to anyone else.
Booking a drop-off time
The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Cal.com and runs inside this page. When you book, the name, email and details you enter go to Cal.com so the appointment can be created, and Cal.com handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It records things like which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and whether someone tapped the phone number or sent the form. It sets cookies to do that.
I use it to understand which pages are worth writing and which are not. I do not use it to identify individual people, and I have no interest in doing so.
If you would rather not be counted, every current browser can block analytics cookies, and browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop it. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
What this site does not do
There are no advertising trackers, no third-party marketing pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site profiling. Customer reviews are fetched when the site is built rather than loaded in your browser, so reading them does not report anything about you to anyone.
The site does not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
Your computer, and the data on it
This is the part that actually matters, and it is the same promise made everywhere else on this site. I do not go browsing through your files. I open what I need to open to fix the fault you brought the machine in for, and nothing else.
Some repairs genuinely require access to the machine — a Windows reinstall, a virus cleanup, or recovering files from a failing drive cannot be done without it. Where a repair needs your password, I ask for it, I use it for that job, and I recommend you change it afterwards.
For data recovery I work from a copy of the drive wherever possible, and I do not keep that copy once you have your files back and have confirmed they are complete.
Whatever is on your computer stays your business. I am not going to comment on it, mention it, or repeat it to anyone.
Remote support sessions
A remote session only ever starts because you contacted me and we agreed a time. I will never cold-call you, and I will never show you a warning telling you to ring a number — that is what a scam does.
During a session you can see the screen the whole time and can end it whenever you like by closing the session or shutting the lid. I do not leave anything installed that would let me connect again later, and I will never ask you for a banking login, a gift card, or payment before the work.
How long things are kept
Enquiries and job records are kept while they are useful — long enough to honour the 30-day warranty on work performed and to answer questions about a past repair. After that they are of no use to me.
Ask me to delete your details at any time and I will, apart from anything I am required to keep for tax records.
