When a computer breaks in Lake Country, the default reaction is to picture the drive down Highway 97 to a big-box store in Kelowna — take a number, hand your machine to a counter clerk, and wait a week to hear back from a back room you never see. It does not have to work that way. I run a local, owner-operated repair shop right here in Lake Country, so the person you talk to is the person actually fixing your computer.
Why local beats the big-box drive
- You deal with one person start to finish — no ticket queue, no handoffs
- No highway drive and no week-long wait; most repairs are same or next day
- Honest, upfront pricing instead of a sales floor with a repair desk attached
- Drop-off or in-home visits, whichever is easier for you
- Your money stays in the community, not a national chain
What I fix
Laptops, desktops and Macs of every brand — dead batteries, cracked screens, charging ports, viruses and malware, slow machines, failing hard drives, data recovery, custom PC builds, and patient tech tutoring if you just want to learn your way around. If it has a power button, bring it by and I will take a look.
How it works
It starts with a flat $40 diagnostic. I find the real problem, tell you honestly what is wrong, and give you a straight quote before any work begins. The $40 comes right off your bill when you go ahead with the repair, and if the machine is not worth fixing I will tell you that too — and help you pick and set up a replacement if you want one. Flat $60-an-hour labour usually lands well under big-box rates.
Serving Lake Country and beyond
I cover all of Lake Country including Winfield, Oyama, Carr’s Landing and Okanagan Centre, plus Kelowna, Vernon and the surrounding Okanagan. Give me a call or text at (604) 817-1069, or book online — you will talk to a real local person, not a call centre.
